My Marion FUMC family,

Yesterday was a most unusual day for me. I cannot remember the last time, unless sick or out of town, not preparing and leading in worship at the physical location to where I am appointed.

I took some time yesterday to come over to the church, go in the sanctuary, kneel and spend sometime in prayer. I prayed for each of our three worship services and those who attend. I prayed for our leaders and staff. I prayed for those who are vulnerable during this pandemic. I prayed for those in law enforcement, medical and rescue fields as they are engaged to serve and protect. I prayed that we would stay connected and constantly be reminded that we are a family of God…a body of Christ. Though we cannot meet. Though we have certain restrictions. Though we deal with uncertainty. God is with us. We can love God and neighbor.

Your Pastor,James
