The Marion United Methodist Women (UMW) is made up of eight circles.  Circles are individual groups of UM women that meet once a month to study God’s word, fellowship and pray.  All women of the church are invited to visit any or all of the circle groups.  Each Circle group is listed below:

Esther Circle meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am* at Smyth County Community Hospital.

Sarah Circle meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm* in individual homes.

Martha Circle meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 am* in individual homes.

Ruth Circle meets the first Wednesday of each month at 11:30 am* in the Wesleyan Room on the first floor of FUMC.

Virginia Circle meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10 am* in individual homes.

Deborah Circle meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 pm* in individual homes.

Grace Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 pm* in the Parlor on the second floor of FUMC.

*please check the church calendar on our home page to verify the time each circle meets.  Circles may change the time due to special activities.

Purpose

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;  to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
