The Easter Vigil Fire
Beginning at 12 midnight, a campfire will be built on the church grounds. The fire, kindled the first second of Easter Day, represents the Resurrected Christ, the Light of the World. Tradition holds that the congregation gathers around the fire all through the night to “watch for the Lord.” Rev. David Woody and the Youth Group will be with the fire through the night. Anyone who wishes may also come and wait for the Lord. The fire will burn through the night and become the focal point for the beginning of the Service of Light.

Please bring fresh flowers
with you to join in the festivities!!!
Most supermarkets have plenty available.
The children are invited to hand out flowers as people arrive for worship. We’d like to invite the entire congregation to take part in flowering a larger cross.
This makes a wonderful picture background after the service for special Easter memories!
